Daybreak Over the Catlins
The coastline of the Catlins region has many beautiful locations. This particular spot is best known for its view of The Nuggets, which are behind me. Despite arriving there before dawn, the clouds did not co-operate, and a sutable photo was not possible. However, looking back towards the mainland was a different story. The sunlight brought out the textures of this rugged region as well as the clouds that had refused to wander out to sea. It is amazing how chaning our perspective can reveal beauty.
